Northwest Ohio Specialists Cooperative, LLC, most commonly referred to as NWOS, was founded in 1996 as an independent physician organization. Comprised of approximately 140 Board Certified Specialists serving the northwest Ohio and southwest Michigan areas, NWOS physicians and practices work together by sharing in various business and clinical services that improve the quality of care and create value to our patients.  The primary goals of NWOS and its member physicians include promoting quality patient care by providing patients with the most current procedure and treatment options, encouraging patient independence and choice in their individual care plans, lowering overall health care costs and the sharing of information which offers efficiency in all aspects of patient care.

NWOS believes that patient knowledge allows patients to select their best care plans and creates an understanding of the value and quality of their healthcare options.  This understanding allows patients, physicians, office staff and other healthcare facilities and providers to distinguish between the wide varieties of choices that are integral as personal choices are made.

Services shared by NWOS member physicians and its practices include:  HIPAA and OSHA training and compliance, group purchasing on commonly used items, employee leasing and benefit acquisition, professional liability purchasing, contracting support and information technology purchasing.  These are a small sample of the possible services offered through NWOS.
